Though we live after the time of Christ, Christians are called by God to show their gratitude for his free salvation by living for God’s glory in obedience to his law. Download
Our assurance that we are Christians is fostered within us as we test ourselves regarding what we believe, how we obey God’s commands, and how we love our brothers and sisters, and as we reflect on the love of God in the sending of his Son to be a propitiation for our sins. Download
God preserves his people as Christians through their persevering in the faith. By God’s grace true believers will be faithful to the end. Download
Good works are not for salvation but from salvation, not just the giving of actions but the giving of ourselves, not defined by us but defined by God, and not for us but for God. Download
How does repentance look like in the Christian life? Godly sorrow leads to a change of mind, a change of affections, and a change of actions. Download
Jesus commends the faith of the Roman Centurion who came to him for the healing of his servant. Faith responds to God’s promises, confesses need, comes in humility, trusts the power and willingness of Christ to heal, is of grace, and is richly rewarded. Download
Paul teaches that in addition to the law of God teaching us how to live the grace of God instructs us to say “no” to ungodliness and to live godly lives in this present age. God’s grace, his past grace in the death of his Son and his future grace in Christ’s return, makes us eager to do good works. Download
Justification is an act of God’s free grace wherein he pardons all our sins and accepts us as righteous in his sight, only for the righteousness of Christ imputed to us and received by faith alone. Download
The Bible teaches that humans have free will. What that means is that humans freely choose to do whatever they wish to do. It does not mean that humans, untouched by God’s grace, are able to choose for God. Before someone can choose for God their heart and inclinations must be changed by the Spirit of God. Then, and only then, will they love what God loves. Download
