Redemption Accomplished

One man is trying to do the least he can, and by his actions he forfeits the opportunity to act in the Messianic role as a Redeemer. Boaz however is different, and accomplishes redemption. Through this Ruth is assured of a future and receives a new identity, as the wife of Boaz and a mother in Israel. An outsider to the covenant of grace has been brought in.

God Confirms His Word in the Jordan

This sermon speaks on how God was confirming both His presence with Israel and His promise of victory in the promised land as He brought Israel through the Jordan river. Exploring God's relationship with His people it looks into both what God demands of us and reveals to us of Himself before looking at how the greatest promise He has given is confirmed with a greater wonder than the crossing of the Jordan - the sending of His Son to the cross to save sinners.

The Love of God for a Perishing World

In this passage we are taught that outside of God's salvation we are rebels against God and we will perish. The greatness of God's love is seen in the fact that He loved such a sinful world and that he made the greatest possible sacrifice - in giving His one and only Son.
