God calls Moses to bring the Israelites out of Egypt. This call is motivated by God concern for the suffering of his people. It is a task far beyond Moses ability, but God promises to be with him. Moses is a type of Christ who was send by his Father to deliver his people from slavery to Satan. As those who are in Christ we are called by Jesus to participate in his mission on the basis of his saving work.
